Ok guys, seeing as I have absolutely no money (like $23)
Would it be worth my time taking out one of the mufflers on my exec and
replacing it with some straight thru pipe to get a bit more noise out of her?
My next question is if so should I then take out the rear muffler or the middle muffler?
I've heard that taking out the rear muffler can create a lot of drone.
Any feedback would be great
Cheers guys

I think it's illegal to take out the middle muffler.
I've got a straight through pipe from the centre muffler to tip on mine and it's great. makes a good note and will give you great bang for your buck.
Seeing as you don't seem to have much money, I would be holding off on any modifications and just focus on keeping petrol in that tank. Wait until you have money and by then you will know exactly what you are after, no use wasting money on something and then changing your mind down the track when you have no money.
I see that you are right near me btw. Did you have any place in mind that you were going to get the straight through pipe from? mine has rusted and is not mandarel bent.
Hahaha, its illegal to take out any mufflers...
I've always wanted to take out the middle one and replace that with some straight pipe, to see what it sounded like, because on my old VT, I had just the normal rear resi removed with 2.5" sports exhaust; It sounded pretty average, all computerised/puzz box-ish.
If you have no money, leave it as it is untill you do.
It wont sound good. just louder version of what it is already.
I don't know?Lucky?
Was it a full inspection, or just clearing a minor defect? Maybe the inspector 'overlooked' it/didn't notice?
What state are you in?
NSW its something like you can't remove components of the exhaust system... As in, if it had two mufflers (center and rear resi) it still needs to have two on there, can be straight through/offset whatever, as long as it doesn't go over the decibel limit.
Thanks for the responses guys. It's only gonna be a temporary thing until I get some scratch. I figure unless I get a full system with extractors and everything it wont sound overly awesome, but thats way down the track. As for where I would get it done, I'd probs go home seeing as my old man was a sheet metal worker for 16 years and I can score some stainless for next to nothing so it'd defs be a DIY job. Just wanted to get some opinions before I do anything. And I know its illegal to have less mufflers than it came out with stock.

I Think they just look for Ones that are falling off or missing or rusted like mad
On the same sort of topic, are the redback cat backs stainless or mild steel??
