Shifter button

i notice today that when i put it in reverse the button doesn't pop up the same as when its in D/N/P/1/2/3
is it normal?

from memory it doesnt pop when in N either as much, if you have also noticed it means that you dont have to push the button when going from R to D !

in P button will be up all the way, in R and N it will be soft feeling till you go to D, you should then be able to shift to 3rd without needing to press button, but then need to press it to go to second or 1st, also put it in 1st whilst parked, then slide it all the way to D without pressing button, you should be able to go all the way to D and no further, hope this helps

or if its a 9C1 you can go back to second without the need to press.....yay engine braking!! and then going back to second became standard on the VY's
