Default Cruise control with spoiler removal

Hi, i have a VX S2 S-pac and i have removed the spoiler. I think its possibly the reason why my cruise control wont activate due to the missing brake light and the car not having a rear window brake light.

Is there any way around this without putting a spoiler on??

What makes you think not having a rear brake light has got to do with your cruise control not working ?. Am i missing something ?.

Plug a globe back into the wiring loop to connect up the circuit again. Hook it up around the wiring loom where the spoiler mounted.

See if that makes it engauge

On the VZ if you have a blown globe the cruise will not engage..... The VT Calais may well be the same.

I'm with Philthy's view. Apart from the fact that no high brake light means that some people will not be aware that you are on your brakes, it is illegal to drive your car without one. Just get to a wrecker and get one out the same model as yours. I think the wiring is already there.

I am telling you. the parcel shelf does not fit a factory brake light spot and the window has a blacked out patch where it should go. If other drivers cant see two big brake lights on either side of my car its their problem if they hit me.

Any VX S2 onwards with a deleted spoiler will be missing this light as its made in such a way that one can't be fitted

I was thinking of getting one of those led strips and sticking it to the inside of the window but that does look tacky. Cant really imagine how much light will get thru the black out. Probly not worth the hassle i would think.

Anyway i solved the cruise problem. Found the factory spot for the rear window light and plugged a globe in and it worked, unplugged the globe, it still worked.
Turns out i was wrong, the rear window light and/or the spoiler light muct not be connected to the cruise setup.
I think while i was fiddling around with the switches on the brake pedal one of them must have been loose because i screwed them in a little bit further to make sure they were contacting and even now the lightest pedal touch switches it off so yeh..
