    Default 5 speed v6 or 6 spd 8?

Im am looking seriously at a VX but dont like the auto, whats the word on the manual boxes? im thinking that the 6spd in the 5.7 would make it a little more economical on the open road.

Any tips or experiances would be great.

6 spd LS1 is about the same or a bit better than the v6 on the hwy

it depends on what you want... i'm not on Ps so why should i get a V6?

i hate the 4 spd auto so the 6 spd man. is what i got

Depends what you are going to use the car for daily driver in stop/start city traffic(auto would be the go). Weekend driver it would be a manual and LS1 5.7...

As for economy, a V6 chews through more fuel on the hwy than a V8. E.g. Mine is a tune LS1, Cammed 6spd...around town, driving like an old woman, I would be lucky if I get 20-22ltr/100, but on the highway I can ger 8-10ltr/100km. A mate of mine has a VZ Berlina V6 ecocrap() and he gets 14-18ltr/100km.

The choice is yours and how deep are your pockets....

    Hey,

So I own a VT SS Ls1 6 speed and its an awesome car!! The engine is stock, with a cat back exhaust and around town if im not having too much fun I get 13-15lt/100 but on the highway I average 7.5lt/100... Also, if you look after it the resale value is better too... Oh, and I had an Auto for about 8 months, it drove me nuts so I got rid of it and got my SS... havent looked back... :-)

Anyway, your choice but V8's are better!!
