vt srs light and engine light

so ive got another issue with the vt i bought last week,

the airbag light is on all the time which im gathering is due to the guy before fiddling with seats after noticing theyve pulled them off for god knows what reason.. but yesterday the check engine light flashed up at me and stayed on till i switched off the car, again today it came back.. im having no power loss or gear change probs, my main query is can u get intermitted check engine notifications if the irbag light is on, or is it possible its becuse the car is overdue for a service 4000kms ago?

codes being checked tuesday but curious as to wether or not these two issues could be causing my engine light to come on ??

I'm almost certain that the engine light would have nothing to do with the airbag light, and it also has nothing to do with it being overdue for a service, the service reminder on the LCD display on the dash will flash when you first start the car to alert you to that.

thanks, i was hoping not but least now i know to start looking for another issue in the lemon of a car haha
