    Default Rotors question?????????

my front rotors and break pads were replaced recently and 2day i was just checking them so i jacked up the car and i was trying to spin the front tyres by hand to see if they turn easy it seems that they turn easy like water no problems at all. but when i took off the Tyre checking rotors i tried to turn the rotor by hand but it was a little bit hard. so mates do u think is it a problem or its normal for the rotors to move a little bit harder when the caliper and pads are still on the rotors??????????

    thanks

Its all good mate, the added tire weight when spun helps it turn easier making it feel less clamped.

The symptom you have described can be the same as seized calipers but I think your OK.

thanks for reply mate. i was just wondering why the rotors doesn't spin easy at all while the Tyre is off. is that coz of a sticky pads or caliper???? its really strange.

They are harder to turn without the wheel also because without the wheel nuts on the rotors are not hard up against the hubs and not running true, therefore rubbing against the pads. If you put a couple of nuts back on and tighten them you will find the rotors should turn easier.

YOU ARE SUCH A GENIUS MAN i did try what u said and it spins really easy with the wheel nuts on thanks buddy. i was really worried bout it man.
i thought it might be a sticky pad or a caliper although i did put new DBA rotors and BINDEX pads as well....
