need help with vt

hey guys, mate of mine has a vt commodore, its done over 300 thou on the clock but still goes hard when running right, at the moment it has a problem of stalling after being driving for a bout half hour then takes 5-10 mins before it will go again, my suspicians are on the fuel pump, or would simply new plugs and leeds do the trick? its been at the mechanics, just had a service and they couldnt find anything wrong with it, although all they did was plug it into a computer and test it from there, so any suggestions to what it may be? cheers in advance
