Vt throttle position sensor

If there is a problem with the throttle position sensor, does it cause the engine light to come on?

Maybe not because I've just had a TPS error code cleared but the engine light has not been on. I'm going to have the codes checked again to see if it has logged another TPS code.

Depends on the problem, DTC19 TP sensor stuck, DTC21 signal voltage high, and DTC22 signal voltage low, are all supposed to turn on the "Check Powertrain" light in a V6.

i had my throttle position sensor fixed in my s2 vt v6 recenly. and yes it made my engine light come on. freaked right out. cheap job. easy to fix.
