Im wanting the clear indicator with the amber bulbs, i was wondering if i can remove the orange in the stock lights some how, any ideas?

Just source some series 2 tail lights mate. I don't think you can remove the orange from it cos that is the colour of the plastic.

yer two are about 85 of ebay, is it unscrew and reconnect?

You may need the loom as the plug for the indicator will be different to suit an orange globe with offset pins.

oh wow, i was hoping it was the same just change over the colour bulb..

Nahh the clear globes have straight pins. They make it this way so you can't put a clear globe into a clear lens. You 'CAN' get fined/warned about having white indicators.

Same thing with the globe sockets, you cant screw a socket made for clear bulbs into a clear lens housing.

Its not that hard mate, you can either get the loom which just unplugs at the lights, and put a VT S2 one in.

Or if its easier just find an orange indicator socket, then cut off - wire up

simple fix for the offset pins is to just grind one off, it will still lock it the holder fine. i did a similar thing with my VS

sure did, just get series 2 tail lights as an easy fix or if you wanna go to the trouble

So did you take out a clear globe and put an orange one straight in? I cant remember but you may be able to get straight offset orange coated bulbs

yeah i bought calais tail lights with the clear lense so had to remove the clear globe and fit the orange one and just grinded one pin off, i couldn be bothered trying to find an orange bulb with straight pin and my work doesnt have them and we stock most globes

yeah was going to say, straight pin orange bulbs are hard to find sometimes, narva and a few others make them.

So, im totally lost, what do the pins look like?

Top one is usually clear, bottom one is amber/orange

oh okay ive seen the opposite pin in orangee.

Your current socket should take the straight pin. So if you can find a straight pin orange globe, then your in business.
