problem starting my wh, please help

ok im having trouble when i start my wh statesman supercharged v6,

when i turn it over it will just stop cranking it does this a few times untill eventually after turning the key back on and off it starts? now the battery is fine, when i say stop cranking i mean it just stops its like the starter motor stops but i dont think its the starter motor becase it always starts and when it does crank properly it cranks fine

any ideas?

if voltage doesnt drop below 10 volts when cranking (use a multimeter) then
suspect starter motor is worn out or sticking on the solenoid
when switch inside starter goes it "stalls" and just stops when it turns on itself it contacts better and starts
check battery >10volts while cranking if not battery replace starter...

Are you using an aftermarkert key? When using my original key I have no problems but the spare I made makes the car do that exact same thing.
