Okay guys im kinda new to this forum but i thought i'd throw up some pics of my twin throttle setup. Its on a vu ute.
We started out with a vs ecotec plenum and manifold. Welded a plate int the side where the single throttle body normally sits and put two bends on with a flange to suit the ecotec throttle bodys.
Me cleaning the new valley manifold.
Test fitting and working out airbox piping, I'm running a mace airbox atm.
In Airbox with air flow meter welded on. We hone the hell outta the afm and the piping used was 75mm before the merge and 90mm to the afm.
Then came time to put it all in. We pulled an all nighter and got it done. Here's a pic with the thing a little naked.
While we had it in pieces we decided to paint everything with black wrinkle paint. Rocker covers being done.
It also really helps if you have one of these mini ovens for baking the paint haha. Here's a pic of the valley manifold going in, We also matchported this to the plenum which we also ported and knife edged.
Here's a pic of the valley after paint you can kinda see the porting.
Rocker covers on.
New gaskets.
Valley on. You can see in this pic we also painted the alt arm, radiator neck, the fuel rail and a few other things.
Plenum on and throttle bodies mounted.
With plenum cover on. Also another note, we extended the plenum 25mm higher with plate welded on the whole way round then had the top machined smooth again to seal. Plenum cover was made out of 10mm plate. Then polished like crazy by Simon.
And the finished product.
And here's some pics in better light.
There was alot more work involved that i didnt take photos of. Simon spent near a good day solid polished it all to get that shine, There was fiddling round with the accelarator bracket and other little things but all in all pretty easy to do, It runs awesome now. It had alot more mid to top end punch and really breathes good. Only thing is the pedal is a little heavy as im running both throttle return springs just for safety. Also alot of other people have had problems with their air screw sensors etc. I have just ran the both the plugs hooked up to one throttle and left the other throttle unplugged and it runs fine. It sucks that loud under the bonnet while driving now it sounds boosted. Anyways hope you's like it.
All the credit goes to Simon and Matty, It would'nt of happened without them.
these pictures are way to big, i cant see any thing

Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
From what I could see it looks great.
MASSIVE pictures though.
I think it looks good also. Like how instead of having the throttles mounted directly to the plenum you have extended it a bit.

thats awesome you should make a few and sell them on the forum. how much hp do you estimate you gained out of this?

Do not argue with an IDIOT.
He will just drag you down to his level an beat you with experience.
Some people take me the wrong way, Like smacking up Marijunna.
Can you put up some pics with good detail on how you did the throttle cable(s)?
Looks Good Mate, Great job on the welding, Like to see those break off lol.
Details on how you rigged up the 2 throttle cables would be ace![]()
Ahaha sorry bout the size guys. Yeah if i told how it works i'd have to kill you.. nah its a pretty simple setup i'll get some more photos with the linkage in detail. Simon (my girlfriends old man) who did all the fab work is thinking off selling the plenum polished and the same style of mine for $1000 and with the polished intake piping to suit $1500. Compared to the Mace items its reasonabley priced considering theres near a day straight of polishing in there.
Whats the horsepower/torque/throttle response gain from this? Looks like an awesome setup. Probably go like the clappers with a big turbo on it.
I want one..... With a turbo bolted on.
