Hope some one can assist,, my son purchased the above MANUAL VU ute S pack a short time ago and notice a noise coming from the gear box area. It was a grinding noise that only happens when the clutch is engaged and drive is going through the gearbox. After a talk with the car yard he got the gear box looked at by the mechanic after 3 weeks of doing little jobs to the box like change oil and Teflon treatment etc finally replaced it however he replaced it with a secondhand one. When my son drove it out of the mechanic the noise was still there however not as bad but still enough to raise concern. I wondered then that maybe the manual gearbox it comes with had this noise from factory. Can anyone relate to this or have any advice. It may be that the second hand gearbox was also damaged but after nearly a month of going back and forward we want to try and get as much info as we can. So the main question i want to ask is, Does anyone know of manual gearbox problems with this series and what advice can you give?
