Howdy all, Could anyone tell me if the C12 pin on the 5ltr series 1 VT computer (Knock Sensor) is supposed to have power (5v) when the key is on or does it just read resistance to earth through the sensor (when knocking)?

When I hook up the Tech2 with the key on it says "Knock sensor not present"
Thumbing through the Holden workshop book it says the sensor should have 5 volts to it, but testing the sensor wire with a multimeter I get no voltage at all..

Also when the cars running the votage from the D3 pin (Cam angle sensor) pulses between 1 to 1.8 volts but with the ignition on (car not running) its 5volts or 0 volts depending on where the distributor is...Is this voltage and pulsing normal? Only reason I ask is becasue In two Holden workshop manuals at the local Holden dealer one says it should be 5 volts while running the other says 1 to 1.8 volts while running and no mention of pulsing...I presume the pulsing would be caused by the magnetic field as the shield for the sensor goes past..
