Default Request: VT V6 engine bay pics.

I have searched but didn't come up with anything that I was looking for.

I am looking for some half decent engine bay pics of a VT V6 with the engine cover removed (showing the plenum)

My VT is about 100km away atm so I cant just pop out and have a look, the reason I need these pics is because I will be ordering some 100mm (4") silicon joiners and angles as well as some 100mm black/blue poly pipe to replace the standard pipe from the air box to the throttle body.

Not sure if I will need just one 90 degree angle or if two 45 degrees would be better with a straight pipe.

Come to think of it if the TB is 60-70mm then 100m might be too big but I read somewhere to use 4 inch pipe.

I wanted to buy them before I go down and put them on my car next weekend but if not I can just go measure everything up next week and then go back again the following weekend after I get the parts.

If anyone can help with pics or angles and even the right sizes needed it would be very helpful.

Thanks to anyone who can help with any of this

I didnt realize the air box and TB was so close, looks like a short 45 degree silicone bend from the TB, less than 1 foot poly pipe then a straight silicone join on the air box end will do the trick.

Just need to find out the correct sizes now. Does anyone know if the VN V6 TB and VT V6 TB are the same size? I could probably measure my VN one outside if they are and get the right sizes after I know what I need.

Only reason I am doing this is for looks but also read a bit about vortex/turbulence ect the ribbed joiner creates and that air has the consistency of honey at high speeds, so it wont really just be cosmetic and may gain 0.01kws :P

Around 70mm hose and pipe should be good then I guess, just need to find some blue or black pipe now as I dont want to use PVC.

Yeah thats what I was thinking too, looking online I cant find anything though. I wouldnt mind blue or black if I cant find blue poly pipe but so far Ive only found orange but might have better luck at a hardware or plumbing shop than searching online.

Got this for $4 although postage was $9

45 degree bends are mostly $25 and over, there is a lot there but I think its over priced for a few inches of silicon so Ill wait a bit.

Still on the look out for some blue poly pipe.

That was the wrong size, 70mm long not the fitting size.

Ordered a 45 degree and a straight section in 70mm but since found out that the MAF is 3" (76mm), not sure about the TB as I dont have my car here.

Looks like I will need to order a 3rd set.
