i wanted an old kingswood aswell when i first was looking at cars. firstly ur ganna have to put money into the kingy as it is a old car and things will stuff up. its no where near as safe as the newer model cars. my suggestion, get a vt then save up a bit and buy a kingswood for a project car not as ur daily driver

I've got both and I take the VX 95% of the time because it much nicer to drive...

Having said this, and as per what others have said... be prepared to throw money @ the kingswood for very little return.

If its for a daily DON'T GET THE KINGSWOOD! If you can, get a VT/X for daily and get the kingswood as a weekend toy

I think the other guys summed it up... you're not buying a Kingswood for A to B, but as an enthusiast project or toy. Don't get me wrong I love the old cars, but if it's merely transport you want, don't go the classic. Cost, safety, maintenance, etc. etc.

BTW Kingswood cheap??? Unless its a complete rust bucket with half a mill on the clock and a possum living in the front seat, the ones I've seen are top $, even for average condition.

If you want an ecotech and can afford it get a VY they are a big improvement over a VT or if you can afford it get a VZ even better still.
Kingswood is a vintage car and no good for daily use, no handling, no brakes, no aircon, no power steering, needs lead replacement additives...
