    Default DFI module?

    hey guys,

i have a VT calais and lately it seems to be missing intermittently and also its hard to start..have changed leads and plugs and even tried swapping new coil packs..but still same problem..
do you reckon it could be the DFI module?
i wouldnt mind picking one up and throwing it in..is there a FAQ or can someone explain how to change it over?
the car only has 130k on it..

do you have oil in the coolant reservoir? could be an inner inlet manifold gasket which may leak into the injector rail ?

I thought you just remove the coilpacks and then the DFI lifts up and unplug it. Not 100% sure though.

Have you tested your battery? My VT was mucking around on startup for the last few months, then the battery died, swap it over and now startup is good as new.

DFI module is held on by two bolts underneath it, take them off, unscrew the little bolt holding the wiring connector on and done.

Have you changed the DFI module yet? I'm still having problems with mine. Just wondering if you have any result yet.

    Thanks.

replaced my DFI i module and the 1-4 coil, the coils come off, the casing comes on then you disconnect the module and reverse it and check it..

to find out if its the dfi module just switch coil packs around and use plyers with rubber handles and take the leads off if the coils dont work in the one spot, like say where the 1-4 coil pack sits then its the dfi module

once the coils are off from memory theres 2 clamps holding it in place.. and just so you know its a bitch to get back on
