    Default vx exhaust

YouTube - VX V6 exhaust in HD

lookin for a decent exhaust system for mi car.

want it to sound pretty beasty.

atm i currently have a 2.5 inch cat back with a front muffler.
tbh just sound like a shitty muffler on the back.

on a bit of a budget but am able to spend.

    any reccomendations?
    cheers

what you think of that? the little rev i did was only gently touching the throttle (1200rpm)

++ didnt really hear much of yours as the rev was only small

yeah mines got a fair bit more done, video does it no justice at all cos me camcorder doesnt pick up sound well.

Also i have had just a catback, then extractors, then what ive done now. It sounds alot lumpier and about 3-4 times louder idling now than it did with just a catback. Like i said the video doesn't do justice, only reason i didnt rev is because it would have been too loud. Might go outside and try to get a vid for ya, neighbours will just have tp put up with it. lol

EDIT: 'beasty' you mean lumpier and louder? cos you can't get much louder than mine and a cam will make it lumpier, besides that..you're driving a 6, not an 8.

Move the camera back away from the exhaust it'll still get the volume but you can rev it and not blow the mic out.

Yeah, I just thought I'd say because every wanker on youtube tries to cram the camera down the exhaust pipe as if it makes it sound better. Shits me .
I took a vid of my car and reved it to 6500rpm and didn't blow the mic out, yet most people can't manage idle.

    Sounds like a chainsaw .
But as far as V6's go, that sounds pretty good. Most of the time they sound like a spastics tantrum. Extractors make a big difference. If you're a keen bean, have think about a bigger cam.

chainsaw in my head meaning 'loud, scary and probably a beef cutting chainsaw...so beefy.' HAHA yeah i got no more money to spend. But yeah I haven't heard a 6 as loud or nice in my opinion, but everyone wants to write their own reviews LOL

2.5inch system, hurricane extractors, middle muffler replaced with a long hotdog, dump pipe just after the back wheel.

I had just a middle muffler on the 2,5inch catback with extractors but it wasnt grunty and loud enough for me, took to exhaust place, they said a smaller muffler will make it sound like crap and that a long hotdog would be the way to go to achieve what i wanted. The early dump pipe gives it a deeper note cos it has less pipe to carry through too, also makes sound reverbarate off the ground when i drive
