The controls for the vents and screen are vacuum operated , maybe there is a leak in one of the hoses

Stick you ear close to the control and hear if you can hear any hissing coming from it . ( i don't mean to literally stick your ear to it but you get the idea )

Could be the one way vacuum check valve.
Located near the firewall right behind the motor.
You will see a skinny hose on the back of the inlet manifold follow the hose and you will see a white valve.

well when it on high it gets to cold so i turn it to low and then forget about it. and then it gets hot so i turn it back up to 2 or 3. then realise its on the screen.

I checked the other hoses first, I could hear a hiss coming from the actuator (losing vacume). Yep, had the air dirverting to the screen issue on throttle up a hill, hence the writeup when I changed mine
