How to connect Vt acclaim Factory Steering wheel buttons to FACTORY STERO

Hi just wondering if any one can tell me how to connect factory steering wheel buttons to a factory stero. I have pulled the air bag off thinking there would be a plug behind it for the factory wheel buttons but i didnt find any. The stero is a orginal factory one and so are the wheel buttons for it but i am unsure how to connect them.
