    Default How to get the strips on my car without leaving glue marks

    Hey, just wondering if anyone knows how to get the glue from the black strips along the car of a vt commodore without stripping the paint of it?

    get a verry sharp stanley knife and take the blade out of the handle, then run the blade VERRY GENTLY down between the strip and the paint, as you are looking to cut the double sided stuff, begin from the handle side, and you will probly find you can just pull them off, the attack the sikaflex with bug and tar remover (:

    If the bug and tar remover does not work (it probably will) get a hair dryer and warm the strip a little at a time(just a few centimeters) and rub or roll it off. Has worked for me in the past and leaves no scratches.

    In the past other people have suggested using fishing line to get them off without marking the duco.
