    Default Looking at new car

Hi All, found a VT executive with 138,000kms on it for sale for $4000. Looks in alright condition, but says the rear breaks need 'doing' and that the left hand tappet gasket is leaking. Question is, how much is that likely to cost to fix?
    Cheers

Need more info of the brake issue. Whether its pads, leaking caliper, rotors etc? Could be from $60 for new pads, to $600 for a complete overall.
Rocker cover gasket is easy. You could do it in an hour or so yourself with a $10 gasket from Supercheap. May as well buy both sides and make an afternoon out of it

Apparently just pads so that makes it cheaper than i was expecting. And also was ex cop, crime branch or something, and so it has the police pack on it too.
