vx questions

hey guys, im kinda new at this but i got a few questions to ask. first off, is anyone on here that is based in melbourne or frankston area and are their cruises and/or meets going on? also, i have purchased a vx ss 6 speed and wondering where to start on modifications. i was aiming for an OTR and mafless but do i need to change exhausts, diffs etc to handle the power? last question, the car was original owned by the victorian police, it says so in the log books, but on the plate it just says p car (passenger car im assuming) any thoughts?

hey mate, otr and mafless is a good start, wont need to change the diff, replace the factory headers with extractors and hiflow cats and a decent exhaust with give it a nice note. usually if its an exchaser it would have BT1 on the plate. hope this helps.

Yeh that does help a lot. I didn't think it was a chaser, because it didn't actually have bt1 on the plate. I assumed it must have been a government supplied car for a senior ranking officer of some sort. Can u reccomend any good exhaust or general performance places to book it in? I love down in melbourne, frankston area.

Get your exhaust done before getting a mafless tune otherwise you will just have to pay to get it retuned again. An the chaser code for vt on i think is 9c1 not bt1.
