    Default Head unit change.

The buttons on my poor old cd-cassette head unit in my vt are starting to give in the ghost! I had a 6 stack vy head unit offered to me, i know the face plate is a different shape. I was just wondering if anybody had attempted to fit one? Is the wireing plug the same, will it slide into the dash opening. I gather the dash facia would have to be opened up, if anyone has some info to help great [ dont want to spend big bucks, its only a second car ], would like to keep it looking original if i can its still a great car gives me no grief. Thanks

Yes it can be done but it's a bit of work, as long as you're determined and have plenty of time/patience.

It's an old thread i know but it should help...

And they said it couldn't be done!
