vt commodore auto gearbox or dif help?

yesterday my gearbox shit itselft ive lost reverse and 4th i think. it drives but struggles to changes from 1to 3 highreves so i just use low reves to let it change takes a while also the noise is coming from the diff like a whirling noise i will be bringing it to a mechanic but that wont be for a couple of days

is it ###ed ? any 1 know wat it could be or sort of had this problem how to i change and drop the DIF oil and gearbox oil any help would be great

i doubt it's the diff or anything that a quick oil change will fix

yep the whirling noise is coming from the gearbox when i put it into reverse it makes that noise no reverse drive or 4th is this normal for a gbox to do this at 2300000 could it be a part in the box that needs replacing or..wholenew1 or reco

long shot it could be the torque converter which is obviously cheaper than a whole box replace, but from your description i strongly doubt it

finaly got it to my mate yeh gearbox was shot
i service it regulary
