my window, does this every now and then, just wondering if anyone had anything similar, does felt need cleaning, if so, whats best to clean it with, is it something internal, any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks guys
this has never happened to anyone?
Sounds to me like glass sliding on rubber, has the felt worn away. You could try some silicone spray in the channels in which the window slides up and down.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
the felt looks in good condition, and the window used to be sluggish about 3 months back, so i put silicone spray on it, and now it does this sound, but its silly, like today it doesnt make the noise, it just does it when i least expect it, and it is really loud, it just annoys me because i go to put window down and people turn there heads thinking wtf is that noise, then next day it doesnt do it again so making it hard to pin point, would soapy water on felt be a bad idea?

take your door trim off and check the little white plastic guides that go into the window rails at the bottom of the glass. my rear one was stuffed (there are two) causing similar sounds on the way up, your front one may be gone.
