Default Please help me out.. another problem with my VX :(

Hey guys, I just got the car back from insurance today (after a month and a half wait), so i decided to give it a good clean.
Started off with the engine bay, took the engine cover off, and degreased the engine bay and washed it down.
I had the eletrical / fuse boxes covered by a plastic bag and the spark plug box covered also.
When trying to start the car, at first it wouldn't, it would only struggle so I left it off. After an hour the engine started, but the fan belt was squeeling. I went for a test drive around the corner and back, and the engine was struggling to change from first to second gear, then proceeded to shut itself off as I was making my final turn.
Got the car back infront of the house, and left it for a bit longer, and gave it another run, this time the car struggled to get past 80km's, and the car would start to 'clunk' and slightly jerk.

Mind you, the drives where about a minute each.
Can someone please help me out , apologies for the length.

Is that from the black box near the alternator? Do the leads just pull right out?
Apologies for the idiotic questions, still new at this.

Also, blow any water out from around the plugs too. It sits in the holes and shorts the spark too.

Thanks for the advice guys , dryed out the sparks and aired the bay out and it ran fine.
I did notice water leaking from an area under the car, placed right in the middle about 2 hours ago however.. is this related (excess water)?

If you have had the air conditioner on you will get water coming from the drain hose.
