Default My car has lost its mind ==please help

    Hi all
    I have a 98 vt accailm wagon
My car seems to have lost its mind
I was turn left out of the shopping center today than my car just cut out and lcd screen went blank
Somehow it reset the computer saying that i needed to reenter my pin on my radio and also press air con button back on.....Befor it cut out air con was on the after it cut out air con was off
Than i restarted the car on the straight than all the lights on the dash lit up and engine was cutting in and out
Also after it cut out abs and trac light were on
So i pulled over restarted the car everything seems to be back to normal than i go to take out than all lights on dash turn on and car is cutting in and out
Would all these problem be a simple abs module???
Or should i look els where
I have order another abs module could it be something els???
    Please any comments welcome
    I want this fixed asap
    Thanks in advance

It could be a loose battery terminal or a bad earth causing lack of power. Rather than guess what could be wrong and start replacing things in the hope it will fix it, spend that money on an auto electrician or a mechanic (but it does sound more like an elecrtical problem) and they should be able to find the problem.
Usually the symptoms of a faulty ABS module don't include the car cutting out.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

    Thanks for the reply
I forgot to mention that i have changed parts hoping to fix this problem
In the last 2 months i have changed new alternator new heavy duty batterey new batterey terminals cleaned all wires going to battery added heavey gauge wire from alternator to battery
Can you please tell me where the earth wire is from battery to engine???????
I have also taking this car to auto elc because its a problem that only happens around once every 3 months...They said auto elc they need to see it happen befor there eyes to find the problem
Last time i went to auto elc they checked for error codes ////// No error codes appeared
There might be a error code when it happens but for them to have the car for 3 months driving it around is very had to find this problem

Your a long time member can you remember reading any post regarding this situation
I always read on differant post all there lights light up like christmas tree but nothing about car cutting out.....So where should i be looking at
I havn't been able to find this earth lead from battery to engine....I had a quick look but can't find it
Where is it???? Also any other wires should i look for
    Thankyou

Also check the earth lead from the body to the battery as this could also cause problems

The only other thing I can think of is check the plug to the computer and see if it has an earth lead on it and check if that is earthed properly
