Hi guys,
I finally need to transfer all the details of my car over to my name from my parents, it is going to need a windscreen to pass a roadworthy (most cars do these days) due to the crazing and scratching that has occurred from nuts and just general use of my wipers, just wondering if you guys can give me an approx cost of one and a place to go within the outer eastern suburbs of melbourne or just a generic company ie: Novus.
Thanks
Matt

Go see RACV AUTOGLASS mate, stay away from O'briens... I used to work for both company's... O'briens is a MAJOR RIPOFF!!!
how much does it cost for that plastic injection thing they advertise on tv?
cheers for the heads up, im going to get a guy who my mechanic recommended, he has also done my mums car and we havnt had any issues with it, so far im up for 185 for the windscreen and 30 for the molding due to the fact that it is a series 1 and hasnt had a new windscreen yet.

If your keeping the car for a while make sure they prime any areas they scrape the paint off when they remove the old screen and sealant, I have read a few articles and seen cars where rust has developed under the rubber a few years after a screen replacement. We had a new screen put in our old VC a few years back, there was no rust present when the old screen came out, now we have rust appearing under the rubber in quite a few areas.
