    Default VT Electrical Problem

    Hey guys,
I own a VT exec wagon, and im having some electrical faults after i washed her today.
When i start her up, the airbag light comes on, the engine light comes on, the oil light comes on and the fans are constantly going, but the thermo gage is sitting on cold. The central locking has stopped working all together. I cant even lock/unlock it with the key. But besides that the car is running smoothly lol.
If anyone has any advice please let me know asap! Thanks.

i washed the outside of the car and nothing more, but the passenger side leaked.. There was a tiny hole at the top of the firewall that has now been plugged up, but yeh obviously the damage is done.

Maybe ECU got wet? Unlikely but possible.

Let it dry and hope for the best.

I haven't had any experience with this problem but I have read a lot about dash lights and electrics playing up when the ABS module is buggerd. Seems to be very common but not always the cause.

Not sure mate, hope its a quick for for you once they take a look.

okay so turns out i didnt need to waste my time taking it to Holden.
I started her up this morning, still had the same symptoms; engine, oil and airbag lights on, constant thermo fan running. I left it for another hour til i had to leave for work, started her up, no lights! but the fan was still going. Drove her to the shops and turned it off then back on, fan stopped. She ran like a dream for the rest of the day.
My brother spoke to the mechanics at Holden anyway, they seemed to think it was the ABS Module. Was going to cost me $610 to replace throught them! Lucky she's fine.. for now.

check for codes yourself just to see if something comes up. Bridge pins 5&6.
