hi guys,
my vt clubby (series 2) is going through rear tyres like no tomorrow. they seem to wear out on the inside to the canvas at least once a month but look as new everywhere else. i was recomended to take it to pedders which is great but could some one be able to tell me what is actually wrong here with my car and perhaps a rough idea on the cost to repair?

put a camber toe kit in the back, i recommend super pro kit. then get it wheel aligned properly and rotate the tyres, good as gold

I wouldn't leave anything to pedders...
The VT and VXI are notorious for really bad rear camber, especially when you start lowering them.
If you're going through a set of tyre a month i would suggest your right foot needs a break.
A camber kit will help will help the issue but will not solve it. You could go as far as putting the VXII rear subframe in to try and help the issue further.
Good luck.
i had the same problem with my VT ... since i stopped doing skids it dosn't wear on the inside like a bitch =D but thats just my experience
Must be some thing drastically wrong or broken to go through tyres that quick, my VX SS did 45,000km on the rears before they started showing wear on the inner edge,
and I had never rotated or balanced them from new. The series 2 are probably better but my series 1 has never had any major issues. Maybe buy some no directional and non asymetrical tyres and flip them on the rims when the wear starts to appear.
Yep, I reckon some over-use of the right foot may be partly to blame. There may also be an issue, so it wouldpay to get a good suspension shop to take a look and then look at a rear camber kit.
cheers

i try not to chuck skids in my VT unless it's the wet
Also look at the springs - they are at the age of sagging a little now on the VT/VX.
A new pair of springs in the back may help get the saggy bum car up off the ground a little and help tyre life.
