Oh you forgot the:

1: Removal of Air filters
2: Drive them with blown radiator until the car "shutsdown" (and then say it only just happened)
3: The "while driving reboot" (when the cars hit speedbumps and launch all the oil in the auto gb hits the top of the gb and puts it in 4th to prevent damage)
4: Replacement sumps (the bash plate doesn't do ****)
5: New solonoids in the gb that allows you to "slam it in reverse asap" (mostly while going forward)
Guys....I work very closely with the maintanence yard...I have had the opportunity to purchase cars almost brand new (30 - 40ks) and I would never...
Remember: Speedhumps & roundabouts DON'T exsist. (in police heads anyway)

Thank you for the very intelligent post in such an informative thread.

VT29C1....thanks, now I know which replacement Alternators to order! Much cheaper then other HiPerformance Alternators I would imagine.

Well...interestingly enough I think my point was pretty clear.
I have listened to people who don't know about ex "chaser's" who claim they are a good car and very few people who have acutaly seen what happeneds to them.
I have some great footage (from inside the car as they all now have cameras) of them hitting a roundabout (not well lit) at 80ks and snapping both front wheels off and this was on top of a hill so it launched the car in the air.
But of course there is always the good one that it doesn't happen to....

I bought my with 495kms on the the clock.

So it hasn't had the chance to be belted by an over zealous Copper or Ambo. (Smokies just don't know how to drive fast!). If I want to flog a car, I'll do it at work in somebody elses!!!!

The SOCG fleet had a heap of multicoloured 9C1s that had to have less than 4000kms on the clock before Holden bought them back from the olympics and resold them. I just happened to find a good one. My dealer knows how anal I am about it with all the work I have done/redone.

The VT had a shocking set of control rods on the front that were hardened up on the VX so it's any wonder that sanppage you speak of happened!

this may be a very stupid question but how do you use the second horn, or do they both sound at the same time?

They sound together. The two different pitches sound much beefer than the pissy little one!

mine still sounds pissy... might replace it with chunky-arse musical air horn.
