New vt

hey guys
have just picked up a red vt II executive. has a vx engine with vt ss rims and ss spoiler.
just wanted to know a couple of things. i hate the interior, its that really old shabby lookin cloth shit. anyway would a vt calais or even vx commodore seats fit in it. theorictally it would. eventually i would do the whole lot. but just want the front seats for now. i think for the door cards i could make up some red ones outta somethin i find in a spot light or somethin.
another thing, i like the flat boot look so i thought instead of taking the spoiler off and welding the holes, would it be worth pricin a monaro boot lid or even a wreckers for one the same colour without the spoiler or holes?
anyway for now im happy with it, over time though ill slowly change stuff, all depends on how healthy the old wallet is.

the seats should fit. the monaro boot wont look any good unless you change the rear quarter pannels by cutting and rewelding/pannelbeating. check put monaro pice to see what i mean.

wat about a VX commodore boot lid?

VX boot lid is the same, just a diffrent garnish.

A Monaro boot lid wont fit as its too long or too short, cant remember.

VX I think in series 2 had black door trims, they are nice but all the other plastic trims on your car on the pillars ect would clash unless you get the ones out of the VX or get some plastic dye and take them out and spray them.

VX seats will bolt straight in, also nothing wrong with some nice looking black seat covers. I got the black ones here Car seat Cover Boss Ready fit Car seat covers Boss from Sprints for about $20 for the fronts in my VN Calais cos the driver seat had a small rip, but the seats are all black leather so I just left the back ones as they are perfect and never get sat in anyway.

i think i will go a calais interior for now. VT or VX, what ever happens to be around. i was thinkin of gettin the whole interior done in black, paintin pillars, roof liner etc, with red inserts. wont be for a while but as the dog has just broken its leg so a fair bit of car money has to go to him.
