vt clubbie dash build number badge

hello all, has anyone removed one without damage,my dash is cracked ,have new dash to fit but cant buy new badge. any ideas ???????? thx les p/s was told badge would self destruct if tampered with ???????

I've removed a few dash tags in my time and killed a few as well. If the dash is being replaced I would cut the dash pad away first so you can get under the plastic bubble part of the dash tag. Most damage happens when your "digging" at the end to get it to level up. Cut the dash pad away and you can get clear acces to it.
