    Default checking fault codes on a vt 5.7?

    can anyone please tell me how to do this correctly on a gen 3 vt ss, ive tried bridging 5 and 6 and it doesnt work, im not game enough to try bridge any other incase i wreck something, anyone help?

    You can't read the codes on an LS1 without a compatible scan tool.

    Go on ebay and search US703 for the correct tool.
    There is a thread on that item on here, thread name is "OBDII Protocol" with relevant information. Search for that in the LSx section.

    thanks heaps guys, wish i had ok know that today before i spent nearly 2 hours trying to figure out why it wouldnt work, my gearbox has been acting very weird lately and ive had the engine light come on 2 times in the last 3 weeks so im thinking there may be a problem with my tps but i want to check the codes before i replace it
