come on guys no one had seen this problem before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Ease up champion, the thread is only a few hours old.
That looks to me like the extension housing seal. Fairly common problem from what I can gather. I had mine fixed by a gearbox shop, was fairly cheap. Can't remember the exact price since it was a while ago, but I think I paid about ~$100 to fix it and to fit a corvette servo.

Have you tried wiping it off then watching to see if it comes back? I'm with acarmody, extension housing seal or the gasket between the box and extension housing. Just get in there with a decent open end spanner, probably 9/16 or near that, nip it up a bit and see if that does the trick. if not, new ext seal and gasket will probably fix it. Failing that, you may have a leaking pan gasket or porous case which allows fluid to seep out. both reasonably easy to fix.
thanks for replying guys.... as i said i recently replaced gasket with filter and new trannys fluid and before i do that i noticed this leak as well............so i think its like u said (extension housing seal or the gasket between the box and extension housing). but man i tried hard to reach the bolts with a socket coz some said maybe the bolts are lose but couldn't at all. u should remove the trannys mount to reach bolts. i couldn't understand your way( nip it up). and yeah i did wiped it of once and it did came back....
thanks
On a side related question...... Won't you have to rip out the engine and trany to replace that seal?
No because the extension housing is on the tailshaft end of the tranny, so you just have to move the tailshaft aside. Then its just held on by a few bolts.

quick update i just took it to a specialist and he did lift the car up and check it he goes this is common in all commodores and its not necessary to do anything coz its a very tiny little leak not a big deal.... other wise he will replace the seal which gonna cost bout 155 as well. but guys i forget to ask him if he gonna replace the seal what bout the fluid???? is gonna be changed as-well????? upon replacing the seal will the fluid be dropped????
I don't believe you have to change the fluid to replace the seal. Just let the car sit for a bit for the oil to drain back into the pan.
