guys I've noticed something bout my vx v6 from day one whenever it reaches a quarter to a fuel tank it runs like a mean beast like a super Lamborghini although the car runs really good and no problems at all but I've noticed this upon reaching quarter to a tank it do like this. i swear to god i cant even touch the accelerator it jumps. but after filling it to full or half it get back to normal. could someone explain to me this plz???????????????????
didnt you know the commmodore has a quarter tank lamborghini mode an if you run it dry its quicker than a veyron. Are you being serious???
Take it easy...But do take it...
Do not argue with an IDIOT.
He will just drag you down to his level an beat you with experience.
Some people take me the wrong way, Like smacking up Marijunna.
ha ha ha lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll i swear to god man am not joking...... i really need an answer to this.....
i once told my friend about it who live next to me and he couldn't believe me until i he drive it....
hahah dude if you think ur vx v6 is fast like a lambo, you need to go for a ride in faster cars
mate there must be an answer for this.... i remembered one of the guys mention a story similar to mine in this forum but couldn't find it....
sounds like you have a chemical agent in the tank, its shortened name is BS, must be at its strongest concentration when its at 1/4 level
lollllllllllllllllllllllllll no one here for god sake could believe me????????
Ever been in a Lamborghini?
only thing is their is less weight from fuel, maybe cover up the fuel gage and go for a drive, see how it is then...
mate i found this to happen in a few cars not just commy's as for the fast as a lambo i understand that u dont mean literally something the lil girls that commented failed to consider as for the reasion i have had some tell me its got to do with pressure in the tank and others say its to do with weight but i have to say im not shore the true reason but i say enjoy it when it happens .
vt 565 and what was so useless about it better then telling him its full of bs i worked for holden so i think i have the right to mention what may give some thought on the issue if u cant be constructive then maybe it best to keep quiet
thanks guys for replying but seriously i didn't meant like a porch or Lamborghini man but for god sake there a lot of difference in performance at this level of the tank to a stage that i can noticed it ( IMMEDIATELY) after it reaches this level which is 1/4 tank... and the mint u fill it up its gone cars drive again normal.
Plenty of people work for Holden, you don't have to be an engineer or a diagnostics technician, some people are broom operators, keyboard attendants etc.
As for the issue, if the vapour system is working correctly, there should not be much if any pressure differentiation in the tank, the only slightly valid point is the reduction in weight, of which I hardly believe it would produce supercar-like performance.
Maybe the tank is pinching a high pressure fuel line and the lighter it gets, the faster it goes lol
Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and monitor the pressures at different tank levels
you mean that might be a fuel pressure problem?????????????
No, but at least you can rule out fuel pressure fluctuations if there aren't any.
alright thanks mate.........
That is providing you want to do anything about it or simply ignore what is happening.
Use a process of elimination, check the easiest things first
Well i reckon VT-565 has explained your mystrey , obviously the vapour system on the tank is malfunctioning and when you are reaching the 1/4 mark there is a build up of pressure in the tank thus causeing greater fuel pressure . Its logical . I'd even bet when u take the cap off to fill her up pressure releases from the tank ( even more on a hot day ) . A empty tank is a dangerous tank more vapour , space , air ..........Booom !!!
this thread is the biggest lol ever haha. It's called a 'placebo mode' not a 'lambo mode' when it gets to 1/4 tank. HAHA this thread was worth the laughs.
Isnt 1/4 tank when the police chip kicks in????![]()
cover your fuel gauge, next time you fill up, and when you notice this so called performance upgrade, un cover it and you will notice its not perfectly on 1/4 its just you noticing a slight increase in performance because of weight reduction and putting 1/4 of a tank in your head at same time and putting them together, and yes a little weight can make a difference, go out to your car, remove rear seats you can notice the difference straight away, bottom line, its just a weight reduction and you are only noticing it around 1/4 tank. do people go down the 1/4 mile with a full tank? no
sounded like gibberish but made sense to me haha
