Somebody on this forum said the sedan and wagon suspension are the same. They are not. My GMH service manual says the track width for the sedan is wider than the wagon and the bottom shock absorber mount is different. After all that, will the VY SS sedan rear suspension/cradle and diff fit in my VT wagon? enquiring because there is a VY SS sedan complete rear end, cradle, 3.08 lsd and brakes available to me for cheap and I would like to put it in. Camber wear gone plus better handling.
Dont quote me but id reckon the cradles would be the same , diff centre for sure , brakes most likely , difference would be in the trailing arms . Mix an match
nathanVS "aren't wagons live axle...?" Not mine nor any other VT onward Commodore wagon. All IRS stock standard. The one I am looking at is also 3.08 LSD, just what the doctor ordered. I believe that the bolt up is the same, just the track and shockies different. only other thing is the exhaust mount. 5.7l V8 brackets. Modifications may be needed there. My VS Berlina wagon did have live axle with irs an option
Hmm thanks for the correction, i thought they all were but wasn't sure about newer models.
