Was driving along and the engine just suddenly cut out, now it won't start. It cranks over strong (new battery) but will not fire at all. Help!
got fuel? got spark? maybe imobiliser key as a flat battery
Occasionally it will kick, but never actually start up.
Is the security light flashing, could be immobiliser playing up?
The New Ride - The Class 2 Shuttle Craft (VE)

When I light the nitro on my HQ 454 Monroe!
Ok, crank angle sensor the mechanic says, easy to change?
Id be checking for spark , could be fuel pump or even a relay . C.A.S is easy to change if you've the right tools its behind the harmonic . I went through all this crap with my VT recently wht a pain in the arse , thing mine was intermitint meanin it would only go when it felt like it drove me nuts an still is an ive changed just about everything , its still dead on the front lawn atm ,bloody spare parts joint sold me a dodgy fuel pump , havnt had a chance to rip it out cause of all thin fricken rain
Ok, I got a new CAS, do I have to take the harmonic balancer off to change it over, or can I do it without taking the balancer off?
Ok, I replaced the CAS after three trips to Supercheap to get the right type of puller. The car started once and ran for a couple of seconds then stopped and it won't start again. When it ran, it ran pretty rough.
No spark on every lead.
Now what...?
I checked the fault codes and recieved a code 12, "Satisfactory operation", so nothing wrong then... No spark with satisfactory operation.
