Default VT 6.5 inch Split speaker install

Hi guys, i've just gone out and got myself some of these

Polk Audio - db Series - Mobile / Marie Speakers

and i am just wondering where you have mounted your crossovers, i am not to keen on mounting them within the doors as i dont want them to have the living shit beaten out of them everytime a door is opened and closed.

    Thanks
    matt

Most people mount them here, more than enough room for even a fairly large crossover (I have the Polk Audio MMC-6500 and they are fairly big). On the passenger side though you have to take out the glovebox and undo the rail part on the left, has about 5 screws down it, very easy though.

The panel are held in by 3 screws each, arrows show them. I would of undone mine but my parents car is close so I can't open the door fully to get my screwdriver in there.
