ckuster conversion, 1 window - 3

hey all! so i've read this can be done, other then everything having to be recalibrated... is it as simple as plugging in the new cluster?
obviously the odo will be out.. which is fine! (can this be reset though?)

are there any clusters which i should stay clear from if i decide to do this?

just done this with my vt?

just make sure its from a 6, if u have a s pack. the speedo should be the same?.... if calais were onloy model with 3 window?

odo will be out and unless ur gonna pay 300 to get reset, find one with the same kms or less.

airbag light will stay on. holden can reset this but it be like 150-200. just take the airbag light out!

it's an executive.. so i'll just grab one from a 6 and i should be sweet.. then get it calibrated through holden?

yer pretty much, from a v6 means ur tacho be fine but speedo may be out. matters what tyres where on that car and on urs.

holden prices are a joke. 160 to do it. take u 10 mins when a tech2

Its just plug and play. Disconnect the battery before you touch the cluster so your airbag light doesn't come on. You will have a small cross in the left window because the cluster senses there is a problem with the climate control module (namely that it isn't there).

u'll need 2 get ur pre tensioners re-set also amounst other things so make sure u do it properly and get it calibrated. dont just take out the airbag globe thats just silly.

where r u located? if ur near sydney pheddy (from ASR) can do it 4 ya. if ur in Perth i do have a contact u can use rather than goin 2 holden but u will b lookin around the 150 mark anyways.

thanks for all of the information! now all i need to do is source a 3 window dash, i'm onto someone whom can calibrate it for me.. so that's a bonus!
