1997 VT Acclam

My vt commodore has a water flow problem and it seems to be back pressuring through the radiator and the overflow hose,, Doe's anyone have any ideas what could be causing the problem it has a new themostat and the radiator has been flushed....................... CAN SOMEONE PLZ GIVE ME AN IDEA?????

Possibly a thermostat not opening enough if at all( which would cause it to run very hot) or worm impeller on the water pump. Both these will cause poor flow.
