cruise control not working

Just brought a vt exectutive and the cruise control ain't working properly.
Is the cruise like suspose to light up green when on standby/on, or does it light up orange when on standby then green when set.

Has anyone heard of any common faults with the cruise control?

Any info would be great help.

When you switch on the cruise control the word "cruise" lights up green, when you set it the word "Active" lights up green
