VX or HONDA S2000 Acceleration

Hey guys me & my mate are debating whether a 2001 vx commodore series 2 s pack has better acceleration then the 2001 Honda s2000 (jan)
And which one will win in the quarter mile. Both cars are factory. We could just race but that would be wrong.

Honda S2000 Specs
weight-1259 KG
Power-176 KW @ 8300rpm.
Torque-208 NM @ 7500rpm.
Power/weight- 139.7

Holden Commodore vx S pack. Specs.
weight-1536 KG
Power-152 KW @ 5200rpm.
Torque-306 NM at 3600rpm.
Power/weight-98.9.

I reckon the commodore will have better acceleration but will loose the quarter mile.
But my mate reckons his Honda s2000 will have better acceleration and win the quarter mile.
Only thing i am thinking is the power/weight ratio is better on the Honda S2000. Which may give the Honda better acceleration. But the commodore has more torque.

Those S2000 are pretty damn fast and near 300kg lighter makes a big difference.

I'm a bit confused by your numbers. S2000 1259kg, 176kw. VX 1536kg 152kw. VX less kws, more weight 10.10kg to 1kw. S2000 less weight, 7.15kg to 1kw. S2000 make VX look slow? Maybe I am looking at it wrong

The other extreme was the Honda S2000 (176kW, 208Nm, 1350kg). This does 0-100 in about 6.6 seconds, the quarter in about 14.8, finishing at about 155 km/h.

It'd wanna be a pretty freakish commodore to even come close

dont know much about honda's but thats making good power for a N/A 2L 4pot (thats if its N/A) compared to the holden 3.8 v6

Looked it up and found a stock 2000 s2000 does 0-100 in 5.5 and 1/4 in 14.2.
Even the supercharged vx s wouldn't stand a chance.
Ecotechs are good but they're no performance car, the Honda is.

dont forget that all those specs of the acceration and quarter times were taken from test drivers. all comes down to the driver if your mate stuffs up his take off the vx will win if you nail yours

Well that settles it.
Me and my mate are gonna have a line up. I reckon i will have a better take off but not by match.
Now one of my other mate wants piece of the action in his Suzuki swift RE-2 rally edition. Only weighs around 1000kg. He reckons he will do me as well. Great.
