i have a vt ls1
it starts perfectly when cold
however when the motor gets hot and you try to start sometimes it doesn't want to start
you have to tick the key over at least 3 times and give it a lot of throttle and it booms and revs when it does start and then it's normal
problem is this is 50/50
sometimes it starts fine when hot
sometimes the motor just doesn't want to catch
battery is new, starter cranks fine
Hey Mate, Sounds interesting, Best bet would be starting by checking Error codes, Failing that start with the Basics such as Plugs, leads, fuel filter etc, just give it a full service to rule out possible temperamental failures
just got serviced
still does it
the car checks out good on paper...
Has it only started after you have just had it serviced ?
it did it from day one
It'll be the starter motor as mine was doing the same thing.
I got mine done at Holden as it was a couple more dollars but it comes with a 50000km/2 year warranty where as all the other shops said no warranty so bugger that
I do what I do, Not because I have to, Not because I want to, But because I can
On the commodores its a common problem that the starter solenoid burns out the result is a inter-mitten start.
I have done so many at work with the same problem.
that's bloody awesome
i gotta replace the starter AND the compressor
top stuff
