    Default Help with spoiler

    Hi
    I have a vt berlinda in bermuda blue and it has a small spoiler on it, ive bought the larger type, but the old one seems to be glued down, anyone got any tips how I can rectify this

    Yeah thats what I thought too! We took off the bolts and then found out the spoiler seems to be glued down. So disappointing as I really wanted to put the new one on.

    have you tired pulling it coz it could be just crap and abit of glue holding it down, or is it like superglue tight

    My mates XR6 had the spoiler glued down too. When he took it off you could see the glue markings around the legs, looks horrible.

    I don't understand why they'd be glued down in the first place.

    yeah its stupid why they do that when 8/10 ppl remove the spoiler anyways

    try hitting it with your hand when the bolts are out. a good thump may move it or put a bit of wood under the boot lid with the bolts just undone. the shock may dislodge it

    Get yourself some decent strength fishing line, and cut from the top to the bottom side in a slicing motion.
    Doing the same sort of thing when debadging your car and using the same materials to remove the glue after would work.
