Well, I'm about to buy my first car and i'm just wondering what things I should upgrade and replace when I first get it to ensure the car runs well. I've heard to change spark plugs and air filter? Is there anything else? Mind you, I will be on my red P's so it must be legal to change.
cheers

If you test drive the car and it is driving well enough for you to buy it, ie no miss-firing motor, no ugly noises from motor, exhaust and drive line, car is not pulling off line when driven, Fluids all up to full levels and no signs of leaks and it looks good, you don't really have to buy anything. Also check the air filter for dirt, an indicator of replacement required. Don't spend money when you don't need to. Later on there will be times when you have to spend a small fortune on your car. Save for that. There is an old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
