Where is the gap? Pics would be great.

What part of the seat are you referring to?

It means you didn't fit it in properly. Take them back out and you will see where it slide into a slot. Your best bet it to put the seat just above the slot, push hard into the seat and knock it down into place.

Are you sure you got that hook in properly? It can be a real bitch sometimes. Grab the top of the seat and try moving it towards the front, if it moves, then it didn't go in.

    make seat loose again
wdge something behind seat about two thirds of the way down
put knees on bottom of seat and push hard many times on top of seat

if you bent it removing it this may bend it back straight

this is all assuming that nothing is under seat holding it up AND that its installed correctly shame not having picks to confirm
what i think youve done which is pull on top of seat trying to remove it or stood on it out of car and accidently bent it!~
