    Exclamation traction control

hey ive got a VT1 V6exec but its an ex cop car, i got it off the second owner not straight from the cops. the previous owner had sum sum mods to it and it runs great all ive done since i got it was take off the pod filter and chuck on some cool air induction, and the car goes hard as for a 6 beats the majority of the cars on the streets, goes really good at the lights cos its got traction control, but because its an 97 series 1 exec it didnt cum out standard with traction and therefore doesnt have the switch to turn it on or off, my problem is i like to smoke em and the car certainly has the power and has a limited slip diff, for sum nice 2 wheel action, but it just grips too much and on the occasion i that i just bust it round the corner fast enough they will spin but as im correcting it myself sumtimes the traction kicks in at the wrogn time and kicks the car straight and i reckon its more dangerous then not having traction on. so my question is, is it hard to buy and stuff around fitting a switch (will it just work straight up or will i have to take it into holden to get the ecu hooked up to a computer and adjusted?) or does anyone know if i can just take out a fuse without it effecting anything else in the car, and if so then which fuse? thank u in advance

are you sure it has traction control?
i have a 98 Acclaim & it has a switch for the traction control & also has lights on the dash.
when the traction control kicks in it doesn't kick the car straight like you described.
what it does is cuts power to the motor. effectively just causing the car to bog down and go nowhere.
the "low trac" light on the dash starts to flash as well

If you dont have the button you dont have the traction control. There is no after market TC that i've heard of.Fitting it afterwards is a lot of work and $$$ its just not worth it.Because its part of ABS check under the bonnet. Then again you prob. dont have that either.Unless it was a special order, Exec.'s wouldnt have'em(even copmobiles).Check/bleed your brakes, you might have a cracked/sticky calipers/pistons.

Year mate traction control sucks if you forget to turn it of your take off is shit it is also quiet dangerous if you foot your foot down at an intersection soon as the wheel spins traction cuts the motor and leaves you in the middle of the intersection with on coming traffic so you can't hve traction control. first thing i do when i get in the car is turn the bloody thing off
