Gearbox is about $2000-$2500, depending on what you want done.

Just looking at standed re-build for the box they are pretty stong and can handle some punishment ,
Also if im looking ta reco the motor maybe afew go fast parts here and there What company would you guys say has best deals and prices (located in NSW if possable)

Unless your motor is doing things it shouldn't I wouldn't worry about a standard rebuild.
yeah i woudn't even bother thinking about it
LS1s and the T56 are strong
unless there's a glaring fault, forget about it
What is wrong with the box that is in it now? 200,000 is not a lot of km if it hasn't had the crap thrashed out of it. Clutch may be getting on a bit if it already hasn't been replaced.
Reaper
Get a rip shifter for it.
The standard items are SHITE. It will feel like a new gearbox afterwards.
Cheers guys
im really keen on slapping a nice lumpy cam in it at some point just wasent sure if i would need a rebuild or not
What would be a good decent cam for it? ill also have a set of pacemakers headders and a twin 2 1/2 inch muffler system
Was thinking of waiting till after i slap a cam in before i get a Maf-less tune

as for the cam how much power are you looking for? and for the extractors go 1 3/4 4-1 cats and the twin 2.5
get it compression tested if you're worried
i have the monaro short shifter on mine and its fine for what it is
What PSI compression should i be getting per cylinder?
