VX S PACK sound system faults and CAN DOES TO IMPROVE POWER

HEY everyone
recently got a system installed and sometimes all the speakers cut out leaving only the two rear door ones playing. the come back on after a few minutes or if i tap my indicators or tap the brakes or use the eelectric windows

not sure if its that amplifier of the wiring


AND SECONDLY

i would like to improve the performance of my car
any ideas i currently have a lukey 2.5 inch cat back system and a corvert transmission kit in it

any other ideas

Lukey air filter (LAF003) $40
1:9:1 roller rockers $450
25mm manifold spacer $220
Memcal tune $70-200?

Thats some cheaper options, clean MAF and TB with some carby cleaner, new plugs and leads, change oil and oil filter, you already have a decent exhaust so I wouldn't bother upgrading that for a long time.

How much are you willing to spend?

Depending on how much cash you have I can make a list as long as my arm.

CAI a good start

VX already has a OTR CAI, its good enough for a few bolt on mods until you are chasing big kws and it becomes a restriction.

A good flowing exhaust system would be a good starting point.

um probably a grand or so but a list is good because my mechanic has alot of contacts soo parts and install is very cheap like my exhaust system only cost me about 300 bucks installed
so yeah 1000 is a good start
even if i can push my KWs up to at least 200 or so

Only way your going to get 200rwkw is with some sort of FI.

MATE WAKE UP (HAND OFF IT) ive got a maloo 185i v8 stock as a rock(185kw = 249 bhp) and your going top get 200kw out of a v6??? ya mate would wanna be bloody good mechanic(whos going to give you a turbo for free) because for a $1000 youll be lucky to be adding 10kw to the v6 with whats stated above)

He never said rear wheel kilowatts.

You probably have around 100-110 at the wheels stock, if you can get up to 150-160 at the wheels with bolt on's you should be happy.

Also you shouldn't need a mechanic to fit any of those parts. Only reason I would pay someone to do something on my car is if it wasnt possible or practical to do my self, like buying a welder to weld a tip on my exhaust when the guy at the exhaust shop did it for $20.

I have slowly been doing a few mods to my ecotec too, Im just after bottom end and I have to say Im quite happy so far but still have some other things coming.

is ur stereo hooked up 2 amps? more info would b nice tho sounds like ur battery is on its way out so check that 1st and make sure ur alternator is keeping up, even while the stereo is up full blast it shouldnt b cuttin out.
